I have a 1995 Nissan Maxima. I brought it into Midas to have them check out the suspension because I‘ve been hearing a pop noise over bumps. They told me it was the strut mount but Autozone sells the suspension bearing and the strut mount seperately and together. How do I know if either of these parts are worn out? Thanks.

Replace it as a unit, do the job once and forget it. You my alos want to do the struts themselves while you at it. Replace both struts and strut mount assemblies. Be aware if there is any particular oriantaion to the strut mount, some are angled and have to be mounted in the correct direction.
